Hubbell Trading Post Film Nite, Jan 29,2020

January 29, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Want a diversion on a Wednesday night?

Want to hear about an Arizona National Historical Site?
Want to learn some Navajo legends?
Want to know more about Navajo weaving, the meaning behind the designs, the colors, the dyes, and why they cost so much!?
Want all this told to you by the Navajo trader who ran 330 miles from Canyon de Chelly to Santa Fe in 15 days to commemorate the forced March of the Navajo people and completed it on the anniversary of the treaty that allowed them to return to their Homeland?

Well then, I invite you to come to the guild to watch a video on the Hubbell Trading Post and hear Edison Eskeet, the post’s trader, impart all this information on you! The Hubbell Trading Post is still an active trading Post and has been for over 100 years. Navajo artisans bring their creations to the post for trade or sale. (40-200 wefts per inch in their rugs!)

Join your fellow weavers to view this video, popcorn provided, BYOB, on Wednesday, January 29th. Curtain rises at 7pm.  Be advised this is not a professionally filmed video. It should last about 90 minutes.

Hope you can make it!
